Rebecca L. Summerville
Becky Summerville was born in Corry, Pennsylvania, January 7, 1954. She was admitted to practice in the State of Montana District courts, the Montana Supreme Court as well as the U.S. District Court in 1985.
Diverse civil practice, emphasis on environmental, mining, natural resources and land issues. Complex litigation including all aspects of CERCLA, toxic torts, and environmental risk allocation. Administrative practice areas including CERCLA, CECRA, MMRA, CWA, RCRA and SDWA. Counsels business entities on state and federal environmental compliance, contracts, environmental due diligence in real estate and commercial transactions, environmental risk allocation, and regulatory compliance.
Memberships and Activities
Becky incorporates her education and work experience in soil science into her law practice. She has represented clients in lawsuits arising out of the largest mining Superfund sites in the country and worked closely with engineers engaged in remediation of hazardous wastes. Becky is frequently consulted by other attorneys about environmental issues. She is a shareholder in the firm, a member of the State Bar of Montana and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. She serves as a board member for two community non-profit organizations.
